Sam Kumar Tandon

I’m a musician and mastering engineer in San Diego. Since 2018 I’ve run Rose Quartz Mastering, where I master records for independent artists and record labels alike.

I particularly enjoy helping self-produced artists and producers improve their productions, mixes and rooms. Usually that means prescriptive feedback and a working relationship that carries from one record to the next.

With two friends I’m also building Copper & Flux, an audio technology company that manages music for places people gather.

I write about mastering, listening and rooms on the Rose Quartz Mastering blog.

Music runs in my family. My grandfather KC Tandon was a lifelong musician and music teacher. The Tandon House collective is named for him.
